Arthur Lee Minter was born to the late William Trotter and Dorothy Minter on June 30, 1951. He transitioned from this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Affectionately known as “BIG DADDY UMPA,” Arthur embraced life with enthusiasm. He cherished the outdoors and love spending time with family, especially his beloved daughter.
Arthur had a wonderful sense of humor and impressive dance moves. Those who knew him recognized that he was always the life of the party, often expressing his favorite phrase, “Imma DO ME.” He will be deeply missed.
Arthur was preceded in death by his William Trotter and Dorothy Minter, as well as his brothers Larry Minter and William Trotter Sr.., and his sister Tracy Minter.
He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Barnes; sons Arthur Broyles and Dontay Broyles; a special daughter, Judy Lynn Carter (Pooh); seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sisters Barbara Lee, Deborah Yarbrough, Gloria Thomas, Nettie McDermott, Falicia Trotter, and Pamela Fields. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.
