On October 6, 1933, Bennie Lee Anderson and Laura Frances Reed gave birth to a beautiful and joyful little girl in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. They named her Bennie Jewel Anderson. At the age of eight, they moved to Seattle, WA, looking for a change of scenery. They spent five years in Seattle and decided it was time to head East. At the age of 13, along with her family, landed in Grand Rapids, MI. She attended Grand Rapids Public Schools and graduated from South High School. Bennie worked for Beverly’s Clothing Store for 30 years. Then her love for kids led her to the Grand Rapids Public School system, where she spent 20 years as a Reading Department Assistant. Bennie enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, bowling, crossword puzzles and the holidays. Bennie was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie L. Anderson (Biological), Robert Vernon Bragg & Laura Frances Bragg, and her husband Wille Hill Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Vernon L. Woods (Grand Rapids, MI), six children Kevin J. Anderson (Grand Rapids, MI), Michael A. Taylor (Grand Rapids, MI), Tracy (James) L. Peterson (Grand Rapids, MI), Jeffrey A. Taylor (Grand Rapids, MI), Malik S. Taylor (Kathleen, GA), and Robert (Janelle) E. Taylor (Oklahoma City, OK), one nephew Mark C. Mayberry, (Grand Rapids, MI), and a generation of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her love forward. As well as several close friends.
