Donovan Elenoran Moody, age 26, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was called to his eternal home with Jesus on November 6, 2025. He was born on February 22, 1999, to Tonya Williams and Richard Moody.
Donovan was a bright young soul whose life, though short, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He was a young man who loved God, cherished his family deeply, and found joy in making others smile. Known for his silly humor, goofy personality, and ability to lift the atmosphere with laughter, Donovan had a gift for bringing light into every room.
Music was part of his soul. A rapper with big dreams, Donovan spoke his heart through his art. He carried goals of making it big, and those who heard his music knew his potential was limitless. Though the world may have only gotten a glimpse, Heaven now hears his full song.
Above all, Donovan’s greatest pride and joy was being a father. His daughters were his heart, his motivation, and his purpose. He loved them so much. Family meant everything to him he protected them, laughed with them, and made sure they knew they were loved.
Donovan preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Elsie Moody, and his grandfather Leon Moody. Donovan was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his parents, Tonya Williams, Richard Moody and Stepmother Shonda Moody. His grandmother, Donna Williams and grandfather James Kirkwood. His beloved daughters, Donova Diore Moody, Hazel Moody, and Sahara Aliyah Moody. His siblings, Shantheis Moody, Aria Moody, Richard Moody Jr., Jamont Killingham, Jasmine Maze, Elisa Moody, Devin Moody, Anisha Moody, and Iesha Moody, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever keep his memory alive.
A son, a father, a brother, a grandson, an uncle, a friend. His laughter, creativity, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Donovan’s legacy is not measured in time, but in impact.
