Jonetta Baker, 73, passed away on March 16th at home surrounded by her family.
Jonetta was born on June 10, 1950 in Muncie, Indiana to her parents John Edward and Wanda Jean Moore. She graduated from Muncie Central High School where she worked in the guidance office and was a cheerleader. She attended Ball State University and took classes in business and fashion. At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined the Mid Town Church of Christ where she was a dedicated member before moving away from Muncie, Indiana.
Jonetta worked at Ray Don Binding Company as a Quality Controler and as a Manager at Upscale Retail Stores throughout Grand Rapids.
Jonetta loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and bowling.
She was the life of the party.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Corey Baker of Grand Rapids, MI, Camille (Baker) Reed of Kentwood, MI, son-in-law Eric Reed, sisters, Jackie Henderson and Deborah Williams both of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Ashley Baker, Kelsey Baker, Briana Reed, Carissa Reed, Chassidy Reed and Eric Reed Jr, 3 great-grandchildren, niece Syretta Guiden of Indiana, nephew Kevin Thomas of Illinois and Brian Thomas of Indiana, brother-in-law Lee McCullum of Oklahoma and Gary Guiden of Indiana, sister-in-law Tiny McCullum of Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Jonetta is proceeded death by her husband Phillip R. Baker, parents John E and Wanda J Moore; grandson, Courtney Hill, sister Pamela Guiden, brothers Gregory Moore and Mustafa El-Burki, paternal grandparents Elick and Claudia Moore, maternal grandparents, Virgil and Faye Grider, uncles, Virgil Grider Jr. and James Moore: aunts, Mary Mitchell, Hazel Ellis, Rose Mitchell, Henrietta (James) Wiliams, and Katherine “Lou” Womack, nephew, Marc Thomas, and cousin, Pauline Robinson Lyons
