Kristy Lynne Hess

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the unexpected passing of
Kristy Lynne Hess of Grand Rapids, Michigan, on November 25, 2021, at the age of
40 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her companion of 15 years, Greg Rawls;
children: Maliek and Vizshun; and her “adopted” mother, Sue Longcore; as well
as numerous rela/ves and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Dennis Allen Hess; her mother, Debbie Dale
Hess; and her brother, Mike Hess.
Kristy was raised in Pinckney, Michigan. She grew up part of a large extended
family, her father being one of six children born to Amos and Helen Hess.
Clambakes, reunions, birthday celebra/ons, and holiday fes/vi/es were events
that drew Kristy’s family together. Lifelong memories were made as family
members par/cipated in these get togethers; spending /me rollicking, laughing,
and having fun. Kristy was known for being helpful to others. She loved people
with a huge heart and unwavering loyalty. She would do anything for those she
cared about. She enjoyed travel, music and making jewelry. She created
beau/ful necklaces that hold special meaning to those close to her. She loved
Greg, and she loved her children. They will remain her most precious
achievement.
