Linda Louise (Jones) Walker

Linda Louise (Jones) Walker sweet spirit was born on February 18, 1949 to Otto and Daisy Jones. She departed this life on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from natural causes.

At an early age, Linda along with her siblings went to live with her grandparents in Grand Rapids, MI. Although she resided in other places, she spent most of her life in Michigan.

Linda graduated from Central High School with honors. Upon graduating high school Linda met and married Edward Walker, Sr. Not only was she a loving granddaughter to her elderly grandparents, but she was also a model, Bell Telephone Company Operator, excellent seamstress and cook.

Even though Linda was a quiet soul, she was a “gentle storm’. In her later years, what she enjoyed and cherished the most was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who ranged in age from young adults to infants. Affectionately known as “Granny” she did not hesitate to “hop in the car and ride” as a side kick and view the world. She loved this and shopping for her family.  

She leaves to cherish her memory: Son, Edward (Wayne) Walker, Jr., Daughters, Tammy (Christopher) Gardner and Rene Jones. Brothers, Phillip (Jewel) Jones, David (Rosy) Jones, Albert Jones, Rodney (Elmira) Jones and Michael Jones. Grandchildren, Alisha (Calvin), Keyshawn, Tayeauanna, Blaine, Trinity, Zhariah, Jaidan, Kyan, Karis, Alena, Alise and Devin. Great-grandchildren, Jahziah, Jahmiah, Malanie, and Camari.  Also, many loving aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Walker, Sr., parents, Otto and Daisy Jones, maternal grandmother, Rosie “Gram” Russell and sister, Doris Jones.
