Mary Lovett Freeman

Mary A. (Lovett) Freeman 88, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 28th, 2020. Born to the late Ruby (Guye) Rowland and Robert Lovett on November 10th, 1931, Mary graduated from Langston Hughes High School with the class of 1951 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She was united in marriage in September of 1953 to the late Jesse Lee Freeman of Tarboro, North Carolina, until his passing on December 7th, 1993.

Mary is preceded in death by her son Craig A. Freeman. She is survived by her children Derek Lee Freeman, Carolyn Freeman-Hicks, Carmen Hardiman, Jacqueline Freeman, a very special grandson, Jeffery Freeman, as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, her sister-in-law Lillie M. Waller of Silver Spring, MD, brother-in-law Bo Freeman of Tarboro, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Service: February 5th, 2020 at 10am (Family Hour), 11am (Homegoing Service)
