Teddy Edward Spearman was born in 1948 and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, by his parents, the late Elijah and Maxine Spearman.
He attended Sheldon Elementary and South High School and also Community Education.
A devoted man of faith, Teddy didn't limit himself to one church; he actively participated in most, if not all, churches in the Grand Rapids area.
Teddy had a deep passion for youth, offering piano and bongo lessons to inspire and teach them.
He was a proud member of the Scarlet Rangers Drum and Bugle Corps and worked at the Van Andel Arena. Additionally, he served as a crossing guard and initiated Grand Rapids' first community radio patrol.
Teddy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers Gerald Spearman, Frederick (Pamela) Spearman, Gregory Spearman, Johan (Nancy) Spearman, and Aunts Pam Kilgo, Francine Little, Laura Ann Winton, and Carol Sobers, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
